    Welcome aboard

There is so much to see and do...

Opening Times

The best way to experience the history and atmosphere of HMS Unicorn is to come aboard and have a look yourself! We are normally open all year round with opening days varying with the season.  Guided tours of the ship can also be provided by arrangement - call us  on 01382 200 900 to enquire.

We are a dog-friendly attraction but request that dogs be kept on a short lead at all times on board and that owners be considerate of other visitors.

Opening Hours

Open Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm (last entry 3:30pm)

Christmas Closures

The ship will be closed on Saturday 23 December 2023 and reopens on Wednesday 3rd January 2024

Visiting safely

A range of safety measures are in place in line with Scottish Government guidelines such as enhanced cleaning, sneeze screens and hand sanitising stations. From Monday 18 April 2022, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings but we still strongly recommend that visitors wear them in our indoor spaces to help protect themselves and our staff.

Accessibility

HMS Unicorn retains its original layout and therefore is only accessible through ladderways and steep inclines, and many of our historic spaces are not physically accessible to everyone. If you are unsure, you can read our Accessibility Guide here which outlines in detail what to expect from a visit. HMS Unicorn has a street-level toilet located outside the ship.
